Located on the Bay of Warren and Barrington, this authentic clam shack is the perfect destination location. Great for your favorite seaside treats. From clam cakes and chowder to fish & chips, we have it all and more. Not to mention our famous Giant Lobster Roll, which boasts a half pound of chunks of Lobster meat mixed with a house made light dill sauce atop of a buttered ne toasted roll with lettuce, it is Lobster as pure as you can get it. Come enjoy the sights and tunes by the sea. Live music on the weekends, it will become your "go to" spot for meetings, grabbing a glass of wine or beer! Only open mid May through Labor Day.

I really enjoyed my time at Blount Clam Shack. The employees were extremely kind and offered suggestions.
When we arrived around 3:00pm on a Monday, there was more than enough parking and it was not crowded. There was a great amount of seating as well. All tables were clean and the property is well maintained.
Our food came out in about 5 minutes. We ordered a small Lobster Roll with Sweet Potato Fries and Coleslaw and a Giant Lobster Roll with Chowder and Coleslaw. We also got a side of fresh fruit. Our total was around $85.00.
The Lobster Rolls were packed full of an immense amount of lobster, which was smothered in butter. The Chowder had a generous amount of cubed potatoes and clams.
If I lived in the area, I would be going back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Would not come here if it was the last place for clam cakes. Not that they weren't good, but the god forbidden line just to order. It's absurd. They have ropes to wind you around on single file -- in the heat for at least an hour. Just to then have a meal you've waited and sweat for, under a tent. It's all outside, granted the water is there and it's a nice view but I'm still hot from the hour long line wait. But, while you wait though you get to hear a middle aged white man playing guitar, if that's your fancy. I'd rather just listen to the dad rock yacht club station on my Spotify. Overall, I'd rather pay twice as much to wait and sit inside for food that's half as shitty, because the environment this establishment offers is just not worth it to me. The best thing about this place for an out of towner, was the classic plastic puck they provide, to let you know when your meal is ready.
Overall, just not worth it.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 10, 2023Updated review
I love Blount! They have delicious, fresh seafood, amazing soups and fresh and frozen foods. It is my favorite Clam Shack on the East Bay
Whole Belly Clam Roll on a grilled bun with clam fritters and clam chowder.
Shrimp Wrap- fried shrimp with lettuce, fresh salsa, Kick 'N'Bayou sauce.
The fried shrimp wrap was delicious. The fried shrimp was fried lightly and you could still taste the shrimp. The sauce was a nice kick too but it wasn't too spicy, just a nice kick. The wrap was crispy and had a great crunch with the freshness of the salsa. I usually get the lobster roll here, but I really wanted those whole belly clams
The whole belly clam roll was delicious! Very nicely fried, it was light and you could still taste those clams. I added a little Tatar sauce to the roll and a little lemon for freshness. The clam fritters are delicious with chunks of clams in the fritter. And when you dunk the fritters in the clam chowder that clam taste really pops out!! I really enjoyed this roll and it was a perfect way to end a Summer WeekendHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Maggi. Thank you for leaving this awesome review. We take pride in having the best Lobster Rolls around so we are happy to hear that you enjoyed yours. Hope to see you again soon. Wishing you a happy and healthy new year!
Dec 9, 2020Previous reviewBlount Market and Kitchen offers a few different types of lobster rolls. The Giant Lobster Roll is a 1/2 pound of lobster chunks served on an extra-long roll. The Small Lobster Roll is a ¼ pound of lobster chunks served on a 6 inch roll. You can get your lobster roll served with their house made dill sauce or served with warm butter.
The Blount Market and Kitchen lobster roll was delicious. Served the way I love my lobster rolls with the warm butter it has quickly become one of my favorite places to get lobster rolls and seafood. Everything is cooked fresh and the frozen raviolis and soup are delicious, I love to stop in for a few dinners for the week and heat them up at home. The lobster is the roll was fresh and melted in your mouth. The crunch of the roll was a delicious contrast to the lobster. The lobster was so fresh that I did not even need the butter to eat this roll. I did take a few bites with the butter and it was delicious, making the lobster a little warmer and sweeter. They also gave you a choice of a side, I picked the clam fritters (clam cakes for all you Rhode Islanders.) The fritters were delicious and didn't have too much batter so you could really taste and see the clams. Great place to go for any seafood! - May 19, 2023
If you see this food truck definitely give it a try. This was insanely delicious! Chowder was fresh, steamy hot and was packed with clams. My fiancé also had the New England chowder and loved it. I would definitely be coming back

Got to come here before they close for the season, usually on my annual visit to New England. We came on a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't a line. Lots of people though but you can find a table with an umbrella for shade.
My friend advised me to get the 1 pound lobster roll (Giant) with dill, cost about $36. The amount they give you is amazing. (Well you pay for it.) The lobster had a light seasoning and needed a tad bit more salt or lemon. It was still good in my opinion. My friends who come here all the time said their flavoring was lacking a little and missing the pickle. I guess when you don't know, its all good. The slaw was a nice complement. I was still satisfied with my lobster roll and my clam chowder! Delicious.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0Business owner information

Amazing lobster roll, cole slaw (which wasn't really slaw, but great) and clam strips (hush puppies). I consumed the giant, lobster!!
What a delicious meal and roll. Not much mayo and spices which was great with huge chunks of claw meat. "Coleslaw" which was good was almost more of a small container of salad made from broccoli. The clam strips were okay hush puppies but not over the top. The beer was ehh, not a quality beer compared to food. They need a better selection from micro brewery's near by.
Great location on the water and plenty of seating. While it may have open at 11:30 there was already a line 15 deep. I do recommend for lunch or dinner.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you Patrick for the great review! We truly appreciate the feedback. We are looking into the clam strips asap- they have been very good this summer. Also thank you for the comment on the beer selection, we have a new vendor this summer and trying new items, your comment in noted! Hope you return soon and if you do message me so you can give those clam strips another try on us!

Can't believe it took me 6 years of living in Providence to finally come here. Came recently on a sunny afternoon with my girlfriend and she hadn't been here before either, so we wanted to try a few things. For mains, we went with the giant lobster roll and scallop roll. It's great that you can choose from several different side options (some at an additional cost), because we were able to opt for clam cakes for one side and clam chowder for the other, effectively letting us try 4 of their menu items.
The scallop roll may have been my favorite. The scallops were delicate in texture, really buttery, and perfectly fried in a nice light batter. The giant lobster roll (cold) was great. Just enough dill mayo, perfectly buttered and toasted roll, big crunchy lettuce leaves. I sprinkled on the tiniest bit of extra salt. At $36 for 1/2 pound of lobster and a side included (fries or 2 clam cakes), it's a solid deal. Clam cakes were some of the best we've had. We especially appreciated the amount of clam in them, since some places give you clam cakes with little to no clam. Conversely, the chowder for some reason had very little clam and a ton of potatoes instead, which was a little disappointing in an otherwise very good New England clam chowder.
Overall, great first experience. Food was all fresh and came out quickly. Service was friendly. Great seating out by the water. We'll definitely be back!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Fun casual place! We stood in line close to an hour for dinner with two toddlers and it was worth the wait. Not pictured because we inhaled it so quickly, we enjoyed the hot jumbo lobster roll, fish and chips, chowder, and bites for the kids. Live music, beautiful scenery, and wonderful weather made this even better! But would go again!
