Event Description: Linden Place Mansion welcomes back guitarist John De Chiaro for A Musical Journey. This performance takes place inside the historic mansion parlors at 500 Hope Street in Bristol, Rhode Island on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2:00pm. An expert classical guitarist, John De Chiaro has concertized throughout the United States, South America, Canada, Europe and Mexico and has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Vatican, and the White House. De Chiaro will treat audiences to favorites by British composer John Dowland, Frenchman Maurice Ravel, German Romantic Felix Mendelssohn and Mr. De Chiaro’s own specialty — the rags of American composer Scott Joplin. A highlight of A Musical Journey will be the Koyunbaba suite by contemporary Italian composer Carlo Domeniconi whose music embraces a wide variety of world cultures from Turkey, to India, to Brazil. Tickets for the concert are $15 for general admissions and $10 for Linden Place and Colt Circle members. The concert will include a wine reception after the performance to meet De Chiaro.
