Event Description: What is Impact Investing and why is it a critical approach to driving investment performance and mitigating investment risk in the 21st Century and beyond? Seminar with Joy Pettirossi-Poland and Paul Herman Across the S&P500, 84% of the S&P 500 stock market valuation is driven by factors that are not accurately captured on the financial statements and typically ignored by investors, analysts, advisers and fund managers. More than 20 quantifiable factors creating cash flow and profit, or lessening risk, are not used by Wall Street experts. Most financial analysis focuses on historical results, but not all the forward looking sources and drivers of shareholder value creation. Also, no common standard is used by Wall Street investors for measuring net beneficial impact on society. Join us in this seminar to learn about the HIP (Human Impact and Profit) Investment Ratings and what is really driving investment performance and risk in the 21st century. About Joy Pettirossi-Poland - Joy Pettirossi-Poland is the president of Building Bridges Consulting and the creator of the MVP (More Value+ Profit) Program. As a business-focused sustainability strategist, Joy specializes in innovating traditional business and investment models to increase business profitability, reduce business costs and risks, increase employee engagement, and attract Millennial talent. The MVP program was featured at the Wharton and MIT Sustainable Brands New Metrics Conferences and in Accounting Today, The CPA Journal, and Corporate Responsibility magazine. About R. Paul Herman - R. Paul Herman is the founder and CEO of HIP (Human Impact + Profit) Investor Ratings + Portfolios, serving investors, advisors, fund managers and 401k plans with 25,000 investment ratings. Paul is a recognized and published expert on sustainable, responsible, impact investing (SRI), and is best-selling author of The HIP Investor Book, integrated into the MBA, MPA and undergrad curricula at 26 universities. Paul is also an advisor for the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board and for NetImpact (Millennial students and professionals).
