“CONVERSATION AMONG FRIENDS” CONCERT PERFORMANCE WITH THE ESSEX PIANO TRIO

Event Description: In observance of Black History Month in February, Linden Place Museum in Bristol, RI will host a special presentation in Linden Place Mansion focused specifically on Bristol’s DeWolf Family and their involvement in the triangle Slave Trade. Featured in the PBS documentary film “Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North,” the DeWolf family, in the 18th and early 19th centuries were once one of the largest and wealthiest slave traders in New England. The presentation will take place on Saturday, February 15th at 11:00 AM at historic Linden Place, the Federal-style mansion built by architect Russell Warren for slave trader George DeWolf. Bristol’s lengthy and complex involvement in the slave trade will be discussed in depth. Admission is $5 and free for Linden Place members and students with a school ID.
