East Bay Chamber of Commerce presents "Rhode Island's Got Talent" show on August 14th, 2010 at the Barrington High School. Shows starts at 7:00 pm
Tickets can be purchased at the door : $12 for adults and $8 for children under 10.
This years show will be hosted by Ben Hague of Fox Providence "The Rhode Show". The Judges scores will be tabulated by Mark G. DeVine, CPA of DeVine & Associates, LLC.
Meet the Judges:
Al Gomes Producer Al Gomes has been in the music business for over 30 years. Al is the founder of Big Noise, an international artist development and music production firm that has overseen the release of more than 300 recordings. His clients include Christina Aguilera, Katharine McPhee, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chicago, Jay Geils, Paul Doucette from Matchbox 20, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Little Anthony and the Imperials, and actor/directors Andrew McCarthy and Tiffani Theissen.
Al produced two singles for Christina Aguilera and executive produced the #1 dance remix of her single 'What A Girl Wants.' He also produced American Idol's Katharine McPhee's smash Christmas single, 'A Gift to You.' His work has earned him gold and platinum awards from the Recording Industry Association of America. Al sits on two Grammy Award Committees for Best Album Package and Best Box Set and has composed songs with many award-winning and reknowned songwriters including John Cafferty, Sean Callery, Jimmy Crane, and Mike Viola.
Tara Granahan
Tara has worked with numerous charities, hosting events for the SIDS Foundation, Think Pink RI, the Weber Foundation of Helping Hands, the Aspiring Dreamz Foundation, the Jonah Center, amongst others. She is also a board member for Racing for Honor, racingforhonor.com, a charity started by her nephew Jordan Genga to raise funds for local veterans in need. Tara lives in Exeter, RI with her husband Kevin, and their two children, Morgan and Madison. .. and dog, if you can call him that, Ghandi.
Cynthia Roberge
Cynthia Roberge of Blue Sky Productions' impressive resume includes producing the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack CD for the award-winning documentary, 'Italian Americans and Federal Hill.' Her other Soundtrack CDs include 'Le Chase' (a film executive produced by Tori Spelling and featuring Rod Stewart arranger Andrew M. Chukerman) and Tiffani Thiessen's (Beverly Hills 90210, Saved By the Bell) directorial debut, 'Just Pray' (featuring singer-songwriter Lori McKenna). Cynthia also produced the documentary film 'Billy Gilman: The Making of Everything and More' (whose World Premiere screened to a sold-out house in Providence, RI) and the CD 'Christmasland' by classical pianist Cecile Grobe. Cynthia is also a nominating and voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (the Grammy Awards). She also served as a regional judge for American Idol.
This is a family friendly evening of entertainment designed to bring community members together while supporting the local economy.
Advanced price for admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children under 10 years of age. Click "register" in the box to the right to buy tickets online. A $1 fee will be assessed per order if you chose to have them mailed. Tickets are also available at the Chamber office at 16 Cutler Street, Suite 102 in Warren. Office hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30-4:30.
