The 286 Club

New sports bar that's opened in place of Billy's in Barrington. Came here to see a Pats game. They have a ton of screens all over the place.

For food, we got the nachos and the Buffalo chicken pizza. The nachos were pretty good though the pizza wasn't great. They have a good selection of drinks.

Overall good experience. Ambiance was good though food could be better. Would like to check out their sports simulators when they're installed.

We have tried this place five times since they opened, and we really want it to succeed, but we want even more to get a good meal. Even with the new menu, it just disappoints.
Highlights: the staff. They do their best with mediocre food, and dealing with that big guy who is just plain disrespectful to them. I'm embarrassed to sit there and listen to them be barked at and dismissed instead of supported and encouraged.
The rest: I was served nachos with no cheese and a raw chicken sandwich. As in, rare. Chicken should be easy. Either cooked or not. Don't serve it not cooked. The kids' meal promises to leave them hungry. The smashed potatoes are plain and dry. A little sour cream would go a long way.

Lots of screens. I guess that's cool.

I am so disappointed. I was so excited someone else opened in Barrington. I had a Martini my husband had a beer I had a wedge salad (smallest one I have ever seen) with 5 chunks of sirloin tips. Think it was a sirloin with chunks cut out. They were so small and very overdone but I think they were overdone because of small size. My husband had a small meatball sandwich. The bill was $52. The taste is there but that's it. And I can assure you Management was not interested. Hopefully they figure it out because the concept is excellent and improvement in deco has been made

The place is really sharp looking. Excellent number of screens.
The flaw is the food which we found almost uneatable.
The meat was so overcooked it didn't have one drop of moisture. Very disappointed. The place looks terrific but the food needs attention.

I've been to 286 on many occasions to watch Football, hockey, basketball, and post season baseball games. The bar is top notch, the food is fabulous, Frank the owner and his management and staff are A+. Highly recommend this restaurants for anyone looking to grab a drink and a bite and watch a game!

First and last visit to this restaurant. Steak tips came out overcooked and way too salty. Sent them back and received new batch that were so tough they were inedible. Ate the potatoes and asparagus which were good. Surprised no Manager checked to see if second try was satisfactory. If they had taken the dinner off our bill, I might be willing to give them another try, but they didn't, and I won't.

Got the wings here and they were delicious. Huge fan of the house sauce and the service was great! Will 100% be back!

Our first experience with the 286 Club was outstanding. We ordered Clams Casino, Chicken Fingers, Caesar Salad, and Fish & Chips, all "to go." Everything was perfectly prepared and packaged so that it made it home hot but not soggy. The Fish & Chips were better than both Blount's and Amaral's, which is saying a lot, and the French fries were amazing. I understand that a review this glowing is usually suspicious, but I guarantee that we are not friends, family, or otherwise affiliated with the proprietor. Highly recommend.
